AFTERNOON
We land around midday. After an efficient airport experience (so far, so Danish), we picked up our rental car with child seats and began the easy drive to Tisvilde. Just forty minutes out of the city, the road curved gently along the coast, and we made our first stop: the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. We spend about 1-2 hours there.
Onwards for about an hour to our home for the week, a traditional Danish summerhouse in Tisvilde. The village feels like a real community with more than a lick of coastal polish. At the local supermarket, we stocked up with groceries for the week (it worked well for us to do lunches out and dinners at home). We unpacked while the children discovered the swing and a shed full of garden toys.
EVENING
We cooked a quick dinner then went for a walk along the beach.
